DB Schenker Rail (UK) Ltd's class 66 (JT42CWR) number 66111 in English, Welsh and Scottish Railway maroon livery with zigzag gold band, large number and EWS logo is photographed working 6E26 from Dollands Moor sidings to Scunthorpe Redbourne sidings on 3 October 2014 having travelled down overnight with 4O28 (66111 WBBT DONCBELMD 224O28C702 4 * DOLLANDSM N). This service typically returns empty FIA 'Multifret' twin intermodal flat wagons used to transport steel for export in billet form from Tata Steels Scunthorpe complex on South Humberside in Lincolnshire (<a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/98929239@N03/14032630236/in/photostream/">see Andy Pictons photo</a>) to a freight yard at Ebange in Eastern France via Dollands Moor and Calais Fréthun through the Channel Tunnel (<a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/99279135@N05/14036377443/">click here for the route </a>). Laurent Knop photographed Euro Cargo Rail's loco number E 186-317 at Valenciennes (Nord - department 59) hauling loaded wagons working from <a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/x4644/13687214105/">Calais Fréthun to Ebange</a> on 2 April 2014. Nicolas Tomaszewski also videoed a loaded train passing Beuvrages hauled by <a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/france-ferroviaire/14112205833/">Euro Cargo Rail's E186 162-4</a>. Once in Ebange the steel is used at Tata's Hayange rail mill to produce rail for SNCF's LGV Est européenne construction programme to extend the French high-speed rail network. 66111 (works number 968702-111) was built by General Motors Electro-Motive Division, London, Ontario, Canada in 1998 and unloaded from the Heavy Lift Ship MV "Stellamare" at Newport Docks on 29 May 1999. On this occasion 3 German 4647s numbers 8046470351, 8046470096 and 8046470419 were also being hauled, the middle one being loaded with 45 lengths of typically profiled rail (arranged from top to bottom layers as 9 + 12 + 12 +12). However the first and third of the loaded wagons were being used to transport lengths of rail matching the <a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/99279135@N05/15252543000/">profile</a> of special rail section 75 conductor rail shown on page 20 of Tata Steel's <a href="http://www.tatasteelrail.com/file_source/StaticFiles/Business_Units/Rail/Rail Technical Guide Final.pdf" rel="nofollow">Rail technical guide</a>. This conductor rail was probably produced at Tata's Hayange rail mill, Ebange, France and is used for 3rd or 4th rails. Wagons being hauled included 3 loaded German 4647's immediately behind the locomotive, numbers 8046470351 8046470096 and 8046470419 then followed by the typical empty wagons numbered 7049387430, 7049381302, 7049381104, 7049385055, 7049381203, 7049387226, 7049380072, 33 70 4938 703 4, 7049385352 and 7049380544.
